Фотографии Александра Дмитриева (1976) и комментарий к ним:
"В наше время было два карнавала: детский — днем и взрослый — ночью. Фотографии с детского. Тут просто "каросы" — машины с платформами, где разные коллективы-предприятия делали для выступления какие-нибудь чудесные фигулины, то пивная кружка огромная, то какой-нибудь шар замысловатый, и на каждой "каросе" — один, два, а то и три оркестра, и все наяривают музыку, со всех сторон грохочет так, что уши закладывает. Зрители по бокам сидят, стоят, гуляют — у всех в руках серпантин (практически задаром продавали, чтобы кидать). И все кидаются серпантином, видно — на асфальте серпантинные ленты лежат. Говорили, что если девушка понравилась, кинешь в нее серпантин — она в ответ кинет — можно подходить, обниматься и гулять вместе, значит, ты понравился. Но я был с родителями, офицеры там, всегда под присмотром, так что кидал, и в ответ кидали — но не обнимался".
