Сергей Сергеевич Смирнов — советский писатель, лауреат Ленинской премии (1965) за книгу "Брестская крепость".
Сергей Сергеевич побывал на Кубе зимой 1960–1961 годов и оставил по результатам поездки интересные путевые очерки, вошедшие в книгу «Поездка на Кубу» (1962).
Писатель присутствовал на параде армии и народной милиции, ходил по Гаване, пробирался по узким горным тропам, по которым в недалёком прошлом пробирались партизаны во главе с Фиделем Кастро. Впечатления от общения с героическими людьми Кубы и послужили материалом для очерков.

К нам поступила интересная и загадочная информация на тему "Фидель Кастро в искусстве".
В коллекции художественной галереи Екатеринбурга хранится бюст Фиделя Кастро, подписанный "Ск Сафронов". К сожалению, больше никакой информации не существует, в том числе об авторе, дате создания, истории поступления в фонды галереи.
Пока у сотрудников галереи существуют три версии авторства, которые сейчас проверяются. Автором бюста может являться:
а) Сафронов Герман Петрович, Астрахань;
б) Сафронов Леонид Михайлович (1930-2007), .Ленинград (Санкт-Петербург)? На доме N7 в Большом Казачьем переулке висит (висела) мемориальная доска Ленина его авторства, от 1960 года;
в) Сафронов Александр Николаевич (1922-1982), Грозный.
Возможно, посетители нашего сайта смогут пролить свет на эту загадку искусствоведения? Фото прилагается.

17 февраля 2025 года в здании института Латинской Америки открылась выставка работ победителей IV международного художественного конкурса “ CUBA VIVA”. Эта выставка посвящена 65 - летию победы кубинской революции и 60 – летию Российского Общества Дружбы с Кубой. Куратор проекта Кузнецов Владимир Семёнович, председатель Московского отделения Петровской академии наук и искусств, председатель жюри конкурса – кубинский живописец Омар Годинес Ласо.
С приветственным словом к собравшимся выступил вице-президент РОДК Богданов Сергей Васильевич, где он обозначил, что такие мероприятия реально помогают сближаться молодёжи разных стран, живущих в различных частях земного шара, а порой и в диаметрально противоположных, как, например КУБА и РОССИЯ.
Это и есть народная дипломатия в действии!

Детский взгляд - самый правдивый... Именно потому нам так интересен опыт работы регионального отделения РОДК по Свердловской области.
Еще в 2020 году были подведены итоги Конкурса детского рисунка «Новогоднее путешествие на Кубу».
Мероприятие организовано благотворительным фондом «САПФИР» и Региональным отделением РОДК по Свердловской области. В конкурсе участвовали учащиеся Детской художественной школы №1 имени П.П. Чистякова и студия ИЗО «Матисс» г. Екатеринбурга. Юные художники фантазировали на тему культурных традиций: на Кубе новый год называют «Днем королей» и вместо елки наряжают араукарию.
Представляем Вашему вниманию избранные работы детей.
Галерею возглавляет работа Ники Сагидовой, 10 лет, «Кубинский карнавал», получившая Гран-при конкурса.
