Кастро В Берёзовой Роще. 1963 Subject The topic of the resource Фидель Кастро в советской живописи Description An account of the resource Известный художник-баталист, фронтовик Марат Самсонов (1925–2013) не прошёл мимо кубинской темы, столь популярной в начале 1960-х. Фиделя Кастро в России любили искренне, а не по разнарядке, и встречали как всенародного героя. Он подарил нам латиноамериканскую сказку, вернул мечту о мировой революции. Добавил в обиход северной сверхдержавы кубинского солнца, а также веры в скорую победу революции во всемирном масштабе. Фидель понимал женскую душу России. В СССР поговаривали, что недаром в его фамилии есть нашенский корень — Рус. Народы побратались, как и вожди. Евгений Евтушенко зафиксировал в стихах такую картинку из кубинской жизни: Но чтоб не путал я века и мне потом не каяться, здесь, на стене у рыбака, Хрущёв, Христос и Кастро! Портреты вождей кубинской революции нередко украшали и пристанища советских рыбаков… Дух того времени воплотился и в картине Самсонова. Да, это беспримесная идиллия. Художник показал торжество интернационализма: русский и кубинец, как братья, гуляют по лесу. Хрущёв — в славянской рубахе, Фидель — в вольном костюме отпускника. Он прилетел в Москву в мае 1963-го, проехал по всей огромной стране. Хрущёв лично демонстрировал ему всё лучшее, что было в Советском Союзе. Шутил, размахивал руками. По части жестикуляции Фидель не отставал от старшего товарища. Русским летом кубинца не удивишь. Но таких рощ на Кубе не водится… Хрущёв радушно улыбается. Он счастлив, что гость из-за океана в восторге от русской берёзовой рощи. А Фидель — в эйфории. Он опьянён красотой мирного пейзажа. Жизнь его проходит в борьбе, и только в русском лесу революционер может устроить себе передышку. Самсонов немного польстил Хрущёву. Первый секретарь ЦК КПСС на картине заметно постройнел. К тому же художник так расставил друзей в цветущем перелеске, что исчезла разница в росте… Хотя главное не в этом. Главное — дружба, в которой почти не было лицемерия. Вскоре после тех сердечных встреч Хрущёв стал пенсионером. И картину Самсонова постарались забыть.
