Продолжил службу на Краснознамённом Северном флоте (гл. база – Североморск). Участвовал в выполнении заданий Главного штаба Военно-Морского Флота СССР. С 1975 г. 25 лет служил и работал после увольнения из кадров в центр. аппарате МО и Генштабе ВС. Уволился из кадров в 1994 г. в звании капитана I ранга. Член Союза журналистов СССР с 1983; Союза журналистов Москвы с 1992. Публикации в СМИ: газеты – «Красная звезда», «Литературная газета», «Известия», «На страже Заполярья»; журналы: «Военная мысль», «Морской сборник», «Военно-исторический журнал», «Коммунист Вооружённых сил», «Советское военное обозрение» (на русск. и в иноизданиях на англ., исп. и фр. языках), «Ориентир», «Латинская Америка» (журнал РАН на русск. и исп.м языках) и др. – 120 публикаций. В течение 10 лет был межд. комментатором по военно-полит. проблемам радиостанции «Мир и прогресс» (затем – «Радио России») в секторе вещания на Латинскую Америку на испанском языке. В качестве отв. редактора участвовал в выпуске совместного издания «Агентства «Военинформ» МО РФ и Агентства «РИА «Новости» на русском и четырёх иностранных языках «Вестника военной информации». Перевёл три романа детективного жанра с испанского языка на русский. Вышли в «Воениздате». Работал в Министерстве промышленности РФ.
