Историческая сейба, которую называют также Деревом желаний, находится в Старой Гаване, рядом с символической Часовней, на Оружейной площади (Plaza de Armas), где каждый год, 16 ноября, жители города Сан-Кристобаль де ла Гавана (первоначальное имя города) участвуют в традиционном ритуале в честь основания города, где в тени легендарной Сейбы осуществился первый религиозный акт освящения Гаваны в 1519 году.
